Can I make my own UPC number?
You can make the barcode image for any number, but to sell on Amazon or in stores the number must be licensed to your brand by GS1. For Etsy, your own Shopify store or internal stock, you can use your own SKUs with Code 128.
Will "cheap UPC codes" work on Amazon?
Often not. Amazon checks GTINs against the GS1 database, and resold codes are usually registered to another company.
What size should a UPC barcode be?
The standard is 1.469 × 1.02 in. You can scale it from 80% to 200%. Keep the blank margins on both sides.
How do I print FNSKU labels on Avery 5160?
Open the FNSKU label tool, paste your FNSKUs and titles, pick Avery 5160, and print at "Actual size" (100%).
Do I need to put the price on my ISBN barcode?
Bookstores prefer it. Use 5 + the price in dollars (e.g. 51995 = $19.95), or 90000 for no price.
Which file format should I download?
SVG or PDF for packaging and print shops (vector, sharp at any size). PNG at 300 DPI for Word, Canva and label software.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
