How to use it
- In Seller Central, open Inventory → FBA Inventory and copy the FNSKU and title columns (or download the inventory report).
- Click Bulk, paste them (FNSKU in column A, title in column B), then return to Label sheet and set copies per item.
- Download the PDF and print at "Actual size". Print the alignment test page first on new sheets.
What Amazon expects on an FNSKU label
When you ship to Amazon's warehouses with "Amazon barcode" selected, every unit needs a label with its FNSKU (Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit). It's a 10-character code that usually starts with X00 and ties the unit to your seller account, so your stock isn't mixed with other sellers'. The label must:
- show a scannable Code 128 barcode with the FNSKU printed below it;
- include the product title (it can be shortened) and the condition, such as New;
- cover the original manufacturer barcode completely, so the warehouse scans only your FNSKU;
- be printed on removable labels that peel cleanly and don't smear.
Amazon accepts label sizes from 1 × 2 in up to 2 × 3 in. The 30-up sheet (Avery 5160 and compatibles, 1 × 2-5/8 in) is the most common choice for laser and inkjet printers. 2 × 1 in or 2.25 × 1.25 in rolls are popular for thermal printers like Rollo, Zebra and DYMO.
Printing tips that save re-labelling
- Print at Actual size / 100%. "Fit to page" shrinks everything, and labels drift off the stickers.
- Run the alignment test page on plain paper, hold it over a label sheet against a window, and nudge the offsets if needed. They're saved in your browser.
- Use "Start at label #" to finish a half-used sheet.
- Check one with a scanner app before printing hundreds.
FNSKU vs UPC
An FNSKU is created by Amazon for free; you don't buy it. You still usually need a GS1 UPC/EAN to create the listing (or a GTIN exemption). The FNSKU label then covers that UPC on the product. See how to get a barcode for your product.
